HanzaDent – Your Partner in Aesthetic Dentistry
The development of technology has brought many opportunities for creating or restoring the aesthetic appearance of teeth, also known as aesthetic dentistry. Modern materials allow for changes in the color, shape, and size of teeth.
Aesthetic dentistry includes both smile correction and comprehensive teeth and oral cavity cleaning and whitening. This process cleans the pigment accumulated on the teeth and reveals a beautiful, natural tooth color. When improving a smile, old fillings that have changed color over time are replaced with fillings that match the color of the teeth, and/or veneers, crowns, and bridges are installed.
When engaging in aesthetic dentistry, it is important to remember the teeth that are not visible when smiling. All teeth should be treated as a whole, and equal care should be given to both the front and back teeth. If you pay great attention only to the health and appearance of the front teeth while leaving the back molars uncared for, they will decay. Then, more chewing load will be placed on the front teeth, for which they are not designed, as molars should handle the chewing work. If there are no molars, or their position in the bite prevents them from participating in normal chewing, the load will fall on the front teeth, leading to problems that will arise soon.
Aesthetic Dentistry includes:
- Teeth whitening
- Changing the shape and color of teeth to look more beautiful
- Prosthetics using veneers or composite fillings
- Gum surgery, if needed
Contraindications
We do not recommend aesthetic dentistry in the following cases: acute inflammatory processes in the oral cavity, serious systemic diseases, pregnancy and breastfeeding, incorrect bite or occlusion disorders, allergies to materials, thin enamel or increased tooth sensitivity, and insufficient oral hygiene.

A very polite, professional, and attentive dentist, Dr. Rasmus Peeker!
My previous visits to the dentist were quite painful, especially the removal of a wisdom tooth. However, I went to Dr. Rasmus Peeker, and the wisdom tooth extraction was absolutely painless! Highly recommend!
Nadezda Zdanova
Great dentists who do their job well, both in treatment and consultation. In particular, Dr. Ermel's advice helped me take better care of my teeth, so I don't need to visit the dentist as often as I used to.
Aleksis Anijärv

Process
1
Consultation and planning
The dentist will conduct an initial examination, discuss the patient's expectations, assess the condition of the teeth and gums, and, if necessary, take X-rays to create a treatment plan.
2
Preparation for the procedure
At this stage, professional oral hygiene is performed, and if necessary, caries or gingivitis is treated to prepare the teeth for aesthetic changes.
3
Performing the procedure
According to the treatment plan, procedures such as teeth whitening, installing veneers, correcting the shape of teeth, or improving the smile are performed to achieve the desired result.

FAQ
Patient 32 y.

How much does teeth whitening cost and what does the price depend on?
Patient 32 y. 18.12.2024
Answer: The cost of teeth whitening depends on the method used. The price may also be influenced by prior cleaning, the need for repeat procedures, and whether whitening is performed in the clinic or with home-use products. Since each case is individual, the exact cost is determined after a dental examination and selection of the appropriate method.

Is teeth whitening with home remedies safe and effective?
Patient 27 y. 18.12.2024
Answer: Teeth whitening with home remedies may produce results, but its safety and effectiveness depend on the products used. Unverified methods or abrasive substances may damage enamel and increase sensitivity. Home whitening solutions recommended by a dentist are safe. It is advisable to consult a specialist before starting home whitening.
Patient 45 y.

How often should teeth whitening be repeated?
Patient 45 y. 18.12.2024
Answer: The frequency of teeth whitening depends on the whitening method, lifestyle, and individual rate of staining. Usually, frequent repetition is not necessary, as too frequent whitening may increase tooth sensitivity. The dentist can assess when repeat whitening is justified and provide recommendations for maintaining the results.
Patient 38 y.

Is whitening of sensitive teeth possible?
Patient 38 y. 18.12.2024
Answer: Whitening of sensitive teeth is possible but requires a careful approach. Special whitening methods and agents designed to reduce sensitivity are used. Before the procedure, the condition of the teeth and gums is assessed, and preparatory treatment may be carried out if necessary. The dentist helps choose an appropriate solution to minimize discomfort.

What is laminate prosthetics and how does it differ from regular prosthetics?
Patient 29 y. 18.12.2024
Answer: Veneer treatment involves placing thin ceramic shells on the front surface of the teeth to improve aesthetics. Unlike traditional prostheses, veneers cover only the visible part of the tooth and often require less removal of tooth structure. Veneers are used to correct shape, color, or alignment. Suitability is always assessed individually.

How long do laminates last and how can they be extended?
Patient 51 y. 18.12.2024
Answer: The longevity of veneers depends on the material, oral hygiene, and occlusal load. With proper care, veneers can last for many years. To extend their lifespan, it is important to avoid excessive load, such as teeth grinding, and to maintain regular oral hygiene and check-ups. The dentist provides individual care recommendations. When veneers are present, wearing a night guard is necessary.
Patient 34 y.

Are aesthetic dentistry procedures painful?
Patient 34 y. 18.12.2024
Answer: Aesthetic dentistry procedures are not painful or are associated with minimal discomfort. If necessary, local anesthesia is used to make the procedure more comfortable for the patient. After treatment, temporary sensitivity or tenderness may occur, which usually resolves on its own. The level of discomfort depends on the type of procedure and individual response.
Patient 40 y.
18.12.2024
What is gum surgery and when is it necessary in aesthetic dentistry?
Patient 40 y. 18.12.2024
Answer: Gum surgery is a procedure aimed at correcting the shape, thickness, or position of the gums for aesthetic or functional reasons. It is used, for example, in cases of an uneven gum line or excessive gum tissue. It is also often possible to cover exposed tooth roots and restore the original gum position after recession. Gum surgery can help improve the visual proportions of the teeth. The need is always assessed during a clinical examination.

How should you care for your mouth after gum surgery?
Patient 66 y. 08.01.2016
Answer: After gum surgery, it is important to follow the dentist’s instructions to support healing. It is usually recommended to avoid strong mechanical irritation, follow a soft diet, and maintain oral hygiene carefully. During healing, swelling and mild soreness may occur, which are temporary. Follow-up visits help monitor the healing process.
